100 years ago, violent mobs of white supremacists attacked and burned the Greenwood section of Tulsa, OK, known as Black Wall Street. Hundreds of Black Tulsans were murdered and a prosperous community was destroyed. For decades, the truth of that terrible crime was distorted and denied. Today, we remember the victims of the Tulsa Massacre and shine light on our painful past. And we pledge to keep working for an equitable society where justice for all is not just an aspiration but a reality. (photo credit: @tulsahistorymuseum)
