Music From the Heart

Music From the Heart is an annual performance presented by the Montgomery Township Education Association in conjunction with the MHS Band Parents’ Association.  All proceeds go towards scholarships to graduating MHS students.  This year’s performance was a tribute to Broadway and will feature selections from Broadway hits Wicked, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, and Frozen.

The MTEA is a professional organization made up of over 600 staff members who are employed by the Montgomery Township School District. This year the MTEA has presented $6,250 in scholarships to the senior class. This performance is largely sponsored through the New Jersey Education Association’s “Pride in Public Education” program. This program is intended to help local associations sponsor activities that will benefit the community as well as demonstrate the quality educational programming being offered to students in our public schools. Through this program, the MTEA also takes a very active role in supporting local school districts’ budgets.
The cast, crew, and orchestra would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to both the MTEA and the NJEA for making tonight’s performance possible and for their continued efforts aimed at improving the quality of education for our students.
