The Montgomery Township Education Association (MTEA) represents over 600 members, including teachers, paraprofessionals, secretaries, custodians, buildings, and grounds personnel as well as technology experts in the school district.
The MTEA upholds the contracts the association negotiates with the board of education and advocates for its members’ professional rights.
In addition, the MTEA supports many projects and activities that benefit our schools, students, and community. Through the NJEA Pride program, we have funded summer book giveaways, our local food bank, and provided scholarships for students.
Studies show that strong professional associations such as the MTEA effectively advocate for their students and communities. School districts with strong professional associations like the MTEA also have better educational outcomes for students.
We are proud of the work we do in Montgomery and we are proud to be a strong partner in public education!
